Delhi Govt: Ahead of Assembly Polls senior IAS officers awaiting posting get key positions

New Delhi (10.12.2024): With the royal battle for the Delhi Assembly inching closer, supposedly in February 2025, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) five IAS officers were given new responsibilities.  
Of five IAS officers, Bipul Pathak (1992), Sanjiv Kumar (1992) and Nandini Paliwal (2003) were awaiting posting since long whereas A Anbarasu (1996) and Kumar Abhishek (2016) were already holding key responsibilities in GNCTD. 
The list of reshuffled officers goes as follows:- 
  • Bipul Pathak (IAS: 1992: AGMUT) was posted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Industries. He has also been assigned with the additional charge of Chairman, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) and Managing Director, Delhi Khadi & Village Industries Board (DKVIB).
  • Sanjiv Kumar (IAS: 1992: AGMUT) was posted as ACS-cum-Commissioner (Food & Civil Supply) along with the additional charge of Chairman, Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and CMD, Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC).
  • A Anbarasu (IAS: 1996: AGMUT), currently Principal Secretary for Home and PWD, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Information & Publicity. 
  • Nandini Paliwal (IAS: 2003: AGMUT) is now Secretary, Higher Education & Training & Technical Education. She has also been assigned with the additional charge of Managing Director, Delhi Co-operative Housing Finance Corporation (DCHFC).
  • Kumar Abhishek (IAS: 2016: AGMUT) Director (Higher Education) and Director, Training & Technical Education (TTE). He will also hold the additional charge of General Manager, Delhi Consumer's Co-operative Wholesale Store (DCCWS) & GM, Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC).
