The inordinate delay in cadre allocation for Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers, who joined in 2015, has come to an end. Union Home Ministry has finally allocated cadres to as many as 150 officers undergoing training at National Police Academy in Hyderabad. Most of these officers are said to have opted for their home state but have been allocated the cadre depending upon the demand and vacancies in the state.
