New Delhi (22.01.2023): Aspiring for a promising career prospects and morale for the Cadre CSS Forum, umbrella organisation of all Central Secretariat Services (CSS) Cadre officers, has written to Prime Minister Office (PMO) requesting expeditious submission and implementation of Cadre Review Report. The Forum also sought time from the PM to brief him about their cause. The Central Government on October 27, 2022 constituted a Cadre Review Committee (CRC) to assess the requirement of additional manpower keeping in view of large number of new developmental schemes and projects.
CSS Forum in its letter has also highlighted that CRC had sought requirement of additional manpower from different ministries/department in December end and most of the departments had sent their requirement in first half of the 2023. Further, the committee has also completed its deliberation long back but report is yet to be submitted.
The Forum in its letter pleads that early submission of CRC Report would help in reducing stagnation at certain grades where officers stagnate for years despite having eligibility for promotion due to non-availability of vacancies.
After submission of the report of CRC, new posts will be created in various ministries and departments which will pave the way for promotion of hundreds of CSS Cadre officers stagnating in their career due to the lack of vacancies despite of having eligibility for promotion.
