New Delhi (15.05.2021): If some well-placed sources are to be believed the government of India is still making efforts to come up with a Unified Command and Control Center (UC2C) to monitor and process all critical information regarding the COVID 0.2 crisis management. The objective is to augment the pace to the efforts pertaining to aid and supply to the areas hit by a shortage of essentials services like oxygen, medicine, food, etc. Reportedly, a couple of days back Niti Aayog has assessed and evaluated a draft presentation (the framework and mandate of UC2C) which may soon be discussed at the top level. Having spent several days drafting the presentation and conducting meetings to evaluate the strategy paper for approval it is expected to take some more time. Officials in the know of the affairs say that they are clueless over the inordinate delay once green-lighted, the UC2C will get going it would add value to the ongoing efforts and make it sustainable.
