With the approaching date of superannuation of Parthasarathi Mitra (IAS:1982:HP) speculations have started doing rounds over the most prospective name for Chief Secretary to the Govt of Himachal Pradesh.
Reportedly, ACS Health & Family Welfare Vineet Chaudhary (IAS:1982:HP) is being seen as most prospective name who has a much longer tenure than his counterpart Deepak Sanan (IAS:1982:HP), currently ACS, Forest Environment Science & Technology. Chaudhary will superannuate in September 2018 wheraas Sanan will superannuate on January 31, 2017; much earlier to Chaudhary.
Also, one can draw a clue from the fact that when Chief Secretary P Mitra was admitted in PGI, Chandigarh in April last year, Chaudhary became the first choice of CM Veerbhadra Singh for the additional charge of CS on April 18, 2015.
