Congress leadership has surprised everyone by withdrawing candidate from Karhal seat where SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is contesting the assembly elections. The party candidate was conveyed not to file the nomination. Congress did not announce candidate from Jaswantnagar seat near Itawa, where SP leader Shivpal Yadav is contesting. Without any dialogue, Congress has shown tacit understanding with SP by not fielding candidates against Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav. This may indicate some post poll alliance or a larger alliance for LS poll 2024.
