New Delhi (15.12.2023):The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Friday approved a proposal from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) for the empanelment of Abhai Kumar Rai and two others for promotion to the grade of Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety (CCRS) in the Commission of Railway Safety (Level 17 of the Pay Matrix) for the panel year 2023.
It may be underlined that last month also three officers (Ms Madhavi, were empanelled for holding CCRS Ms Madhvi, IRSSE; Brijesh Kumar Mishra,IRSE and Dinesh Chandra Deswal, IRSE were also empanelled for holding CCRS post in the Commission of Railway Safety.
The Commission of Railway Safety (CRS) deals with the safety aspects of railways operations while playing statutory inspectorial, investigatory and advisory functions. There are ten offices of the CRS across the country besides its headquarters in Lucknow where the chief commissioner of railway safety sits.
