The Congress allowing Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury to take over as chief of Public Accounts Committee headed by any opposition leader that audits spending of the government has apparently been a faulty strategy. The same PAC embarrassed the UPA government when senior BJP leader Murali Manohar Joshi was its chief but apparently the Congress not letting anyone take credit is a big hurdle. Appointing Chowdhury as PAC chief is a strategic mistake as he has been ineffective as a party leader in the Lok Sabha.
