Raipur (09.12.2024): Preparations for the appointment of new Chhattisgarh DGP have started with the extended tenure of incumbent state police chief Ashok Juneja (IPS: 1989: CG) ending on February 5, 2025. The names of three officers included in the panel that has been sent to UPSC, New Delhi are Arun Dev Gautam (IPS: 1992: CG), Pawan Dev (IPS: 1992: CG) and Himanshu Gupta (IPS: 1994: CG). These three officers have already been promoted as DG. Apart from these three officers, names of SRP Kalluri (IPS: 1994: CG) and Pradeep Gupta (IPS: 1995: CG) were also kept in the panel, but only three names have been sent to UPSC.
