The country's envoy to Peru Sandeep Chakravorty is being moved to New York as India's consul general. He had earlier served as Deputy Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka and was private secretary to MoS (External Affairs), Shashi Tharoor. In NY, he will replace Riva Ganguly Das, who is returning home to take up the post of Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
