New Delhi (29.05.2025):The Central government on Thursday cleared the elevation of Justices N V Anjaria, Vijay Bishnoi and Atul S Chandurkar as judges of the Supreme Court of India.
With the three new appointments, the Court will operate at its full sanctioned strength of 34. The recommendation to elevate the three High Court judges to the Supreme Court was made by the Collegium headed by the then Chief Justice of India B R Gavai on May 26.
Justice NV Anjaria is currently Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court. Justice Vijay Bishnoi is currently Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court. Justice Atul S Chandurkar is a judge at the Bombay High Court.
