CEA to Govt of India resigns

cea-to-govt-of-india-resignsArvind Subramanian, Chief Economic Advisor to Govt of India, on Wednesday, resigned citing personal reasons. Reportedly, Subramanian wants to go back to the United States on account of pressing family commitments. Subramanian joined as the Chief Economic Adviser on October 16, 2014 for a period of three years, which was later extended. He took over when his predecessor Raghuram Rajan became RBI governor. Subramanian, an alumnus of Delhi's Stephen's College, pursued MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Ahmedabad and later received his doctorate from the Oxford University, UK.
