Four days ahead of the date of retirement (i.e. 31.07.2020) Satish Kumar Gupta (IRS IT:1984) was on Monday re-appointed as Member, CBDT for a period of one year beginning 01.08.2020. Earlier, Members were given extension ahead of Annual Budget but this is for the first time in the history of CBDT that a Member was given a fresh lease of service on re-appointment basis.
