New Delhi (31.05.2022): The BJP has not only dropped Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi but has also dropped another minority community leader Zafar Islam from the Rajya Sabha. Vinay Shahastrabuddhe, former political advisor of Nitin Gadkari, too has not been nominated for the Rajya Sabha for the second time; rather some such leaders have been nominated who may help the party politically not only in Uttar Pradesh but in other states as well. Apparently for the BJP leaders like Naqvi, Shahastrabuddhe and Islam failed to contribute to the party. The most interesting among the names declared by the BJP on May 30 is of Dr K Lakshman from Telangana. The next target of the BJP is Telangana where the party is not only focusing but getting good response. Mithilesh Kumar is a Dalit leader from Shahjahanpur with a solid grip over Jatav votes.
