New Delhi (27.12.2021): Resentment and desertion have a very tenuous link, understanding that the BJP has constituted a four-member committee to woo Brahmins who are apparently not happy due to the community being neglected and alleged over inclination of Yogi Adityanath towards his own community. Committee members included Shiv Pratap Shukla, Mahesh Sharma, Abhijat Mishra and Ram Bhai Mokharia. Anger of the community was the reason that the BJP did not remove Ajay Mishra Teni from the Council of Ministers. Brahmin, Bhumihar and Tyagi jointly constitute around 17 per cent of the population of UP who may impact any election as they influence others as well. The first meeting of the committee was chaired by Dharmendra Pradhan and was attended by Dinesh Sharma, Jitin Prasada, Brajesh Pathak, Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Ramapati Ram Tripathi and Subrat Pathak.
