As Indianmandarins had reported on 31 May 2018, T M Vijaya Bhaskar (IAS:1983:KN) named as successor to the outgoing Chief Secretary of Karnataka Ms K Ratna Prabha who completes her extended tenure today. Prior to the announcement of his appointment Bhaskar served as Additional Chief Secretary (Forests) Govt of Karnataka.
Ms Ratna Prabha had been on an extension following a request from the State Government in view of K'taka Assembly elections.
H D Kumaraswamy led Congress-JD(S) coalition government too had written to the Centre soughting three months extension for Ratna Prabha which was later withdrawn.
