- Apurva Chandra (IAS: 1988: MH), Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, was entrusted with additional charge of Secretary, Department of Telecommunications.
- Rajeev Ranjan (IAS: 1989: MP), Secretary, National Commission for Backward Classes, was entrusted with additional charge of the post of Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Castes.
