New Delhi (30.05.2024): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Thursday are as follows:-
  • Saurabh Garg (IAS: 1991: OR) was appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (M/o SPI) upto his superannuation on 31.07.2024 and thereafter on contract basis for a period of one year ending 31.07.2025. As per the notification he will also function as Secretary to National Statistical Commission. Currently, he is Secretary Department of Social Justice & Empowerment.
  • Amit Yadav (IAS: 1991: AGMUT) was appointed as Secretary of Department of Social Justice & Empowerment vice Saurabh Garg. To formalise the same the Govt partially modified its order (dated 27.05.2024) appointing Amit Yadav as OSD in the ministry to succeed Garg as Secretary w.e.f. 01 August 2024. 
  • Vinod Kumar Tripathi (IRSE, Civil: 1995) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel ill his retirement on 31.12.2027 Vice Ruchika Chaudhry Govil (IRS IT: 1990).
  • Sachidanand Prasad (IP&TA&FS: 1994) was appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) under the Ministry of AYUSH till his superannuation on 31.12.2027.
  • Mukta Shekhar (IRAS: 1994) was prematurely repatriated to Cadre. Currently, she is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries.
  • Pradeep Kumar (IP&TA&FS: 1995) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries till his superannuation on 31.03.2026 Vice Mukta Shekhar. 
  • Nitin Kumar Yadav (IAS: 2000: HY) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce for a combined tenure of seven years ending 12.09.2028. He replaces M. Balaji (lAS: 2005: TN) 
  • Pankaj Yadav (IAS: 2001: HY) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development for an overall tenure of five years upto 31.10.2027 vice Karma Zimpa Bhutia (IFoS: 1997: JH).
  • Kamlesh Kumar Mishra (IRTS: 2003) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Sixteenth Finance Commission under the Department of Economic Affairs for a tenure of five years.
  • Shersha (CSS) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs till superannuation on 31.10.2025 vice ShahnawaZ Alam (IP&TA&FS:1994).
  • Ankita Singh (IRS IT: 2011) was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Capacity Building Commission under Department of Personnel & Training, Delhi for a period of four years.
  • Tushaba Dasharathrao Shinde (IRPS: 2008) was appointed as Director in the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Delhi for a period of five years.
  • Harsh Kumar Jain (IFS: 1993) was appointed as Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Philippines.
  • Rakesh Kumar Meena (IRSS: 2010) was re-designated as Director, DPIIT for a period up to 31.03.2025 (i.e. till TSU is functional). Currently he is Deputy Secretary in DPIIT.

  • Vikas Agarwal (ITS: 1997) was appointed as CVO, HMT Ltd, Bengaluru under the Ministry of Heavy Industries for a period of three years.

  • Suvarna Deshpande Dash (IRPS: 2002) was appointed as CVO, Indian Telephone Industries Ltd, Bengaluru under the Department of Telecommunications for a period of three years.
  • Tenure of Dharmendra Kumar Madan (IOFS: 1994) as CVO, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) Delhi/NCR, was extended for 10 months upto 28.04.2025.
  • Ravi Shankar (IFS: 1995) was appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Ukraine.
  • Sushil Kumar Singh (IRSME: 1993) was appointed as Chairperson, Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways for an overall tenure upto the date of his superannuation on 31.01.2027 vice S K Mehta (IFoS: 1990: GJ).
