New Delhi (10.12.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Wednesday cleared a series of orders pertaining to extensions and re-designations as follows:

Key Extensions:
  • Rajeev Singh Thakur (IAS: RJ: 1995), Adviser, NITI Aayog (Additional Secretary), has been granted an extension in his central deputation tenure for a period of six months beyond 03.12.2025.
Re-designated as Directors: 
Six Deputy Secretary-level officers have been re-designated to the Director level as a measure personal to the incumbent officers, with effect from 01.01.2026:
  • Shinde Deepak Arjun (IAS: AGMUT: 2012), Private Secretary to Minister of Road, Transport & Highways.
  • Harleen Kaur (IAS: AGMUT: 2012) Director in the Ministry of Road, Transport & Highways.
  • Yashu Rustagi (IAS: UP: 2012), Director in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).
  • Vikash Kumar (IA&AS: 2012), Director in the Ministry of Defence.
  • Komaljit Meena (IRS IT: 2012), Director in the Ministry of Defence.
  • Yuvraj Ravindra Patil (IRTS: 2012), Director in the Lokpal under DoPT).
Appointments
  • Dr Gitanjali Yadav, Scientist VI, National Institute of Plant Genome research (NIPGR), to the post of Scientific Attache in the High Commission of India at London, United Kingdom.
