New Delhi (08.08.2025): Notifications of appointments and recommendations issued on Friday are as follows:
  1. Sanjeev Chopra (IAS: 1990: OR), Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, has been entrusted with additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries from 09.08.2025 to 21.08.2025 during the period of absence on leave of A P Das Joshi (IAS: 1994: AM).
  2. Vivek Aggarwal (IAS: 1994: MP), Secretary, Ministry of Culture, has been entrusted with additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Tourism from 11.08.2025 to 04.09.2025 during the period of absence on leave of V Vidyavathi (IAS: 1991: KN).
  3. Inderjeet Singh (IAS: 2010: RJ) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Culture for a period of five years.
  4. Suvasis Das (IRS IT: 2014) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals for a period of four years.
  5. Nitish Suri (ITradeS: 2011) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Higher Education for a period of five years.
  6. Ravi Dhawan (IAS: 2011: AGMUT) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Power for a period of five years.
  7. Cheshta Yadav (IAS: 2014: AGMUT) has been appointed as Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration (Deputy Secretary level), Goa on additional charge basis for a period up to 31.12.2025.
  8. Gaurav Singh Rajawat (IAS: 2011: AGMUT) has been appointed as Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration (Director level), Lakshadweep on additional charge basis for a period up to 31.12.2025.
  9. Sufiyah Faruqui Wali (IAS: 2009: MP) has been appointed to the post of Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Madhya Pradesh with effect from 01.10.2025 for a period up to 31.12.2025.
  10. Amit Sharma (IAS: 2012: AGMUT) has been appointed to the post of Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Mizoram (Deputy Secretary level) on additional charge basis for a period up to 31.12.2025.
  11. Purva Garg (IAS: 2015: AGMUT) has been appointed to the post of Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration (Deputy Secretary level), Andaman & Nicobar Islands on additional charge basis for a period up to 31.12.2025.
  12. Sujal Jayantibhai Mayatra (IAS: 2011: GJ) has been appointed to the post of Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Gujarat for a period up to 31.12.2025.
  13. Kartikeya Goel (IAS: 2010: CH) has been appointed to the post of Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Chhattisgarh for a period up to 31.12.2025.

  14. Tenure of additional charge of the post of Director (Finance Intelligence Unit -- India) to Vivek Aggarwal (IAS (MP:1994), Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue, has been extended ex-post facto for a period from 30.03.2025 to 21.04.2025. 

  15. Amit Mohan Govil (IRS IT: 1990), Director General, Central Economic Intelligence Bureau, Department of Revenue, has been entrusted with additional charge of Director (Finance Intelligence Unit-India) for a period of six months.

  16. J Elanchezhian (IPS: 2010: PB) has been inducted as Deputy Inspector General in Central Bureau of Investigation for a period of five years.
