New Delhi (16.11.2024): Following the ACC orders repatriating two senior AGMUT Cadre IAS officers, C B Kumar and K. R. Meena, to parent Cadre it is expected that Andaman & Nicobar Islands (A&NI) and Mizoram may get new chief secretary soon.
Indianmandarins has learned that Chandra Bhushan Kumar (IAS: 1995: AGMUT) may be appointed as Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Islands (A&NI); a post which fell vacant after Keshav Chandra (IAS: 1995: AGMUT) was brought from A&NI to Delhi as Chairman, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). Currently, Kumar is working in Govt of India as Additional Secretary and Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission under the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DWS).
Further, Khilli Ram Meena (IAS: 1993: AGMUT) is expected to be appointed as Chief Secretary of Mizoram vice Dr Renu Sharma (IAS: 1988: AGMUT) who retired on 31.10.2024. Currently, Meena is working as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. It may be noted that a 2005 batch IAS officer is functioning as CS, Mizoram.
