As indinanmandarins had report on July 23, 2016 (Web-link below) the Appointment Committee of Cabinet cleared the appointment of 03 General Managers in the Zonal Railways. Railway Ministry had sent the proposal for the appointment of eight GMs on 19 July. Out of 08 names only three were cleared today.
Accordingly; Ghanshyam Singh (IRSEE) appointed GM, Eastern Railways, Kolkata. M C Chauhan (IRSEE) has been appointed GM, Metro Railways, Kolkata and M K Gupta (IRSE) appointed GM, Modern Coach Factory, Rae Berali.
It was Indianmandarins which categorically reported (on 23 July 2016) that the appointment orders of GMs might be issued between 25 July and 27 July.
After this appointment it is expected that D K Gayen will be appointed as GM, East Central Railway; Akhil Agarwal as GM, Central Railway; A K Gupta as GM, South Western Railway; O P Agarwal as GM, RWF and Sudhanshu Mani GM, Integrated Coach Factory, Kapoorthala.
