Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that former Union Secretary (MHRD) Anil Swarup (IAS:1981:UP) may soon be appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of State Development Council (SDC), Govt of Jharkhand. Council is headed by Chief Minister. Jharkhand government had, in September 2015, constituted State Development Council to take advise from prominent personalities of various walks of life while framing the policies and programmes for the development of the state. It may be mentioned that Bibek Debroy (Member NITI Ayog) was nominated as the Deputy Chairman for a short-term whereas T Nand Kumar (Chairman, NDDB, Anand, Gujarat) and Ashok Bhagat (Vikas Bharti) were nominated as two other members. All the MPs and MLAs of the state are members of the SDC.
