Union Minister of Commerce Suresh Prabhu recently video-opened an international conference on "Changing Global Economic Scenario: Strategies for Business Sustainability", organized by Jaipuria School of Business at NDMC Convention Centre in New Delhi.
Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman, Board of Governors, Jaipuria School of Business, welcomed all the dignitaries and guests to the event. Over 300 intellectuals from the government, academia, banking, corporate sector, and civil society participated in the conference.
In his address, he stressed the importance of education and training for the new emerging workforce to bring business sustainability. He appreciated the government's idea of inclusive growth and initiatives and expressed his belief that it will help transform financial processes.
Participating in the conference as the chief guest, NITI Ayog CEO Amitabh Kant called for innovative management of land, water, and gas. Like Jaipuria, he emphasized on training the new workforce in adapting themselves to changing economic scenario.
Participating as a guest of honor, Sanjeev Chopra, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal said that Technology and Idea are the driving forces of change today. The young workforce has to be highly adaptive to technology to keep pace with the Global Standards. He emphasized the importance of asking questions and listening carefully for answers can come from anywhere.
Dr. S K Mahapatra, Director, Jaipuria School of Business proposed a vote of Thanks.
A Book was also released on the Conference Theme with articles and research papers.
Over twenty eminent intellectuals addressed the gathering at the conference including Alexander Shchegolev, Dy. Trade Commissioner, Russian Embassy.
