Indianmandarins has learnt that 1995 batch DANIPS officer Amit Roy may be appointed as Staff Officer (OSD) to Alok Kumar Verma (IPS:1979:UT), successor to the Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi (IPS:1978:UT) who will demit office on February 29. The SO to Delhi CP is considered a coveted position in view of the fact that every file to the CPs office is routed through this office. In the police circle, the SO is also considered the eyes and ears of the CP, besides being his voice.
