The Allahabad high court has directed the UP chief secretary to hand over the names of officers allegedly involved in the multi-crore stamp scam of Ghaziabad Development Authority to the investigating officer within three weeks.
The court said the investigation may be done by an officer of the rank of circle officer under the supervision of SSP Ghaziabad.
Hearing a PIL on December 19, a bench of Justice Arun Tandon and Justice
Rajeev Joshi directed the chief secretary to submit an action-taken report by January 23, which is the next date of hearing. In the petition, it was alleged that plots in posh areas were allotted to a few people by the GDA authorities in the name of restoration of plots.
