Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the ADG empanelment of 1986 batch of IPS gathers momentum as the Union Home Ministry is all set to send the file to the Cabinet Secretariat this week. Reportedly, MHA has prepared the dossier and may shortly move it to Cabinet Secretariat which would further take over a month to complete the process. If some well-placed sources are to be believed as many as 36 IPS officer would be empanelled to be posted as Additional Director General on Govt of India by the first week of November. Empanelment of 1985 batch IPS took place on 25 January 2016; almost seven months after the empanelment order of 1985 batch of IAS was issued (on 23 June 2015). It may be recalled that the empanelment of 1986 batch IAS took place on 14 June 2016.
