Thursday appointed Abhay (IPS:1986:OR) as Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National
Police Academy for a combined tenure upto his retirement on June 30, 2021. Presently,
he is DG, Narcotics Control Bureau at ADG level. The orders issued today mentions that Director, SVPNPA post was downgraded to ADG level which was in consonance with the proposal dated 19.06.2019; five days prior to his empanelment to hold DG level post. Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that NaMo administration may shortly revise its order and upgrade the post to Director General level.
