The BJP has done what it needed to bring its core voters to polling booth in Delhi and will try through the day with every means to woo jhuggi voters to vote for it. It has started this with its 250 MPs staying in the night in 376 jhuggies colonies which constitute the most staunch vote bank of Aam Aadmi Party. However, AAP is confident that it will sail through with the support of its core votes and minorities while Congress leadership reportedly gave a walk over to AAP to check BJP from coming to power.

The BJP was way behind at 8 seats when the poll process started but CAA has catapulted it to 28-32 seats in its own survey but the question is being asked about invisible Congress in the hustings. It is learnt that for the strategists of the Congress, loss of the BJP is more important than winning maximum sub 10 seats in Delhi. Knowing nature of tactical voting by Muslims, AAP leaders supported Shaheen Bagh from distance but refrained from visiting the site.

But elections are not mechanically planned and 20 odd candidates of the Congress have made Delhi elections triangular contest by their own goodwill and efforts. This is what the BJP needed as only in the Muslim dominated areas you need a triangular contest and this is happening on such seats. On the other hand, the BJP has deputed maximum workers in jhuggi clusters not only convincing them to vote for BJP but bring them to polling booth. So much so that Rashtriya Muslim Manch are working as booth agents.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh accusing Giriraj Singh and the BJP for using unfair means is actually his fear as the BJP is trying to dent their core vote bank. Of course BJP and AAP both have been facing anti-incumbency. But one thing is sure that one-sided poll battle of Delhi has turned into a neck and neck fight by the BJP but the Congress still looking for an opportunity to ride piggyback to reach somewhere.
