New Delhi (01.12.2023): If well-placed sources are to be believed, Railway Board Member (Traction & Rolling Stock) Naveen Gulati (IRSEE:1986) may be laterally appointed/shifted as Director General (HR), Railway Board. The post of DG HR falls vacant today after Mohit Sinha (IRAS:1986) retired on November 30, 2023. A section of insiders believes that even though Member and DG post are equal in terms of rank and pay but the later one is generally considered as relatively less important. Another section of insiders says that in all likelihood the establishment would have identified Gulati’s successor thus necessitating the said reshuffle at the top. Still, it remains a question who would replace Naveen Gulati as Member, Railway Board?
