important pleas on India’s most-debated issues in the next 03 days. It will
hear petitions pertaining to an infighting (No. 01 Vs No. 02) in the country’s
premier investigation agency CBI, the entry of women into Sabarimala temple
(Kerala) and Rafael deal of buying 36 jets from France. A high-voltage week begins today.
SC is expected to hear the petition of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)
director Alok Kumar Verma (IPS:1979:UT) who has challenged the govt’s move to
divest him of powers in the last week of October over an internal battle with Special
Director Rakesh Asthana (IPS:1984:GJ) who has also been sent on (forced) leave.
