New Delhi (07.08.2023): Getting media attention to the government schemes is important task for a section of the government machinery but diverting media attention from something that the government doesn’t want is equally important for them. While doing so, a senior secretary level officer interacted with the media apparently to tell things off the record. The media interaction was said to be a formal informal briefing but apparently informal informal with select and confidant journalists is more important to get the news worth writing.
