Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the incumbent Chief Vigilance Officer of Airport Authority of India has applied for a VRS leaving many surprised over his move. Yatendra Kumar, a 1996 batch IAS officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre, is said to have applied for VRS for a variety of reasons.
In the power corridors, Yatendra is considered a no-nonsense officer with competence and strong credentials and has been awaiting his empanelment as Joint Secretary in Govt of India since long. Insiders say that the Chief Vigilance Commissioner is said to have scolded him badly during a meeting attended by a large gathering of officers. This is said to have upset him and set him into a mood to exit the services.
Yatendra was appointed AAI's CVO post on 07 October 2015 for a period up to October 2018.
