44-anchor-investors-put-rs-12000-crores-bharat-22-etfAs many as 20 pension funds have invested in the Bharat-22 Exchange Traded Fund, which was launched on November 14 for anchor investors. In total, 44 anchor investors, including MFs and foreign portfolio investors, have invested Rs. 12,102.97 crores. Twenty-five percent of the units of the scheme will be allotted to each category of investors. Pension funds of Ashok Leyland, Bank of India, Gridco, Gujarat Electricity Board, HPCL, HVPNL, BPCL, SBI and Vijaya Bank have participated. Banaras Hindu University has also invested in the ETF. Morgan Stanley, LIC, Bank of India, HDFC Ergo Insurance and Monsoon Alternative Investment Trust are also among the investors to have submitted their bids. The Rs. 8,000-crore issue opens for the subscription from retail investors on October 15 and closes on November 17.
