New Delhi (24.12.2022): The Government of Tamil Nadu accorded Chief Secretary Grade to 1992 batch IAS officers in the Cadre state with immediate effect. The order was issued on December 23, 2022. 
To formalize the CS Grade the TN Govt has created eight temporary posts of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for a period of one year and posted the newly promoted IAS officers to these posts. The list of officers getting Chief Secretary Grade and ACS posts goes like this:
  1. Dr J Radhakrishna (IAS:1992:TN)- ACS, Co-operation, Food & Consumer Protection Department
  2. Dr Rajendra Kumar (IAS:1992:TN)- Currently at Centre as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & IT
  3. Dr Neeraj Mittal (IAS:1992:TN)- ACS, IT & Digital Service Department.
  4. Rajesh Lakhoni (IAS:1992:TN)- ACS/CMD, TN Electricity Board and TN Generation & Distribution Corporation Limited and Chairman, TN Transmission Corporation 
  5. Mangat Ram Sharma (IAS:1992:TN)- ACS, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department 
  6. Pradeep Yadav (IAS:1992:TN)- ACS, Highways and Minor Ports Department
  7. Kumar Jayant (IAS:1992:TN)- ACS, Revenue & Disaster Management Department
  8. Dr K Gopal (IAS:1992:TN)- ACS, Transport Department
