Ashok Gehlot Govt on Thursday effected a major reshuffle of senior IPS officers. The reshuffle included three DG rank, six ADG rank, seven IG rank officers and one DIG rank officer.

• Kapil Garg (1983 batch) was appointed as the new State DGP. Prior to this Garg was Chairman, Police Housing & Construction Corporation.
• O P Galhotra (State DGP) was transferred as DG, Home Guards.
• Umesh Mishra, currently ADG, SOG and ATS, appointed ADG (Intelligence and CM Security).
• N R K Reddy, serving as ADG (law and order), has been made Vice Chancellor, Sardar Patel University of Police Security and Criminal Justice, Jodhpur.  
• M L Lathar replaced Reddy as DGP (law and order).
• Utkal Ranjan Sahu was posted as ADG (Home Guards).
• P K Singh, ADG (crime), will now serve as ADG (Traffic).
• Anand Srivastav (IG, Kota range) replaced Sanjay Agarwal as Jaipur Police Commissioner.
• Sanjay Agarwal was posted as ADG, State Disaster Relief Force replacing Bhagwan Lal Soni.
• Dinesh M N, who was in news in the Anand Pal Singh encounter case, will serve as IG, Intelligence-1, Jaipur.
• Ashok Rathore was made IG, Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission.
