New Delhi (20.02.2024): Dr Niranjan Rajadhyaksha, Executive Director, Artha Global, reportedly has expressed his inability to take up the responsibility as Member, Sixteenth Finance Commission triggering speculation in the power corridors for declining such a prestigious offer of joining the government. Though he cited some unforeseen personal reason. Dr Rajadhyaksha was appointed as Member in the 16th Finance Commission vide notification dated 31.01.2024. It is believed that the govt has already started it bit to search and appoint a Member of the 16th Commission in lieu of Dr. Rajadhyaksha.
