Out of 32 IAS officers (1986 batch) empanelled for Additional Secretary and equivalent posts, 16 are serving in the Government of India, thus having good chances to get elevated earlier than their 16 batchmates posted in their cadre states. Interestingly, all three officers empanelled for AS equivalent posts are serving in the state. Those currently posted at the centre are Yaduvendra Mathur (RJ) who is serving as CMD, EXIM Bank and Kshatrapati Shivaji (MH) is CMD, SIDBI. Anshu Prakash (UT) is serving as JS, Health & Family Welfare; Pramod Kumar Das (MP) is JS, DOPT; Umesh Sinha (UP) is Dy Election Commissioner (ECE); Guruprasad Mohapatra (GJ) is JS Commerce. Similarly, Balwinder Singh Bhullar (UP), B B Mallick (MH) and Utpal Kumar Singh (UD) are serving as JS Civil Aviation, Labour & Employment and Agriculture & Coop respectively. Two batchmates serving together in the Min of Defence are Abhay Tripathi (AP) and Suresh Kumar (JK) respectively. Subash Chandra (KN) and Anil Kumar Khachi (HP) are serving as CVO of PFC and FCI whereas three batchmates are serving in Cabinet Secretariat - S P Singh Parihar (MP), Alok Tandon (UP) Alok Vardhan Chaturvedi.
