Indianmandarins has learnt that 12 IAS officers belonging to 1998 batch may find place on the next list of JS empanelment (first review) shortly. Reportedly, the first review is expected in the third week of this month. The first list issued on March 03 had 23 names for posting as Jt Secretary and equivalent in Govt of India. The relatively small batch of 1998 is comprised of 55 officers out of whom 42 were in consideration zone but at least six were dropped as their APRs were not available till the last moment. Going by the convention of selection of 75 per cent of eligible candidates, 12 officers may expect to find place on the first review-list expected shortly.
