It is reliably learnt that approx 11 candidates (out of 26 shortlisted for interview) have been shortlisted for the posts of MD & CEO of five public sector banks. Reportedly, none of the candidates from private sector banks finds name on the list. The panel headed by RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has sent the names to Finance Ministry for further requisite clearances & procedures. ACC, headed by PM, would further select five names for MD & CEO of PSBs namely; PNB, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Canara Bank and IDBI Bank for a period of three years.
