Former Chief Secretary, Puducherry Chetan Bhushan Sanghi (IAS:1988:UT) who is presently serving in the Delhi government, who had claimed that he was under "pressure" from various "stakeholders" for naming a "certain VIP", in the DDCA probe panel report, finds himslef between the devil and the deep blue sea. While the AAP government's Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) has slapped corruption charges against him for not kowtowing to its line, the Union government is, reportedly, not willing to take him on deputation for the simple reason of political inconvenience.
After posting Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi of the 'pressure' brought upon him, Sanghi wants a meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to plead for his case for central deputation. However, the meeting is not expected to be granted as it would be seen as a 'blatant and unconcealed' attempt by the centre to leg up officers labelled difficult by the AAP government.
