The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Reddy on Wednesday revised the distribution of subjects among the top three officers in his Office (CMO). While having a glance at the allocation Praveen Prakash emerges as the most powerful bureaucrat in the state.

Principal Secretary to CM Praveen Prakash (IAS:1994:AP) has been allocated with all key subjects except Industry, Mines etc. Prakash (popularly known among peers as PP) will look after the subjects namely; General Administration Department, Home, Revenue, Finance & Planning (except the subject of Expenditure), Law & Legislative Affairs, CMO’s  Establishment & Residual Subjects, Exclusive node in CMO to deal with the entire spectrum of Centre-State relations. Prakash’s work also includes all issues arising out of State Re-organization Act; CMO’s correspondence with Centre including PMO; projects, programs, financial/non-financial issues of State Government with Senior Government of India officials in the rank of Secretary, Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary; MIS of CMO.

Secretary to the Chief Minister Solomon Arokia Raj (IAS:2000:AP),  will look after the subjects namely; Transport, Roads & Buildings, APSRTC, Housing, Food & Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development, SERP, Education (School, Inter, Higher & Technical), All Welfare Departments, Industries & Commerce, Infrastructure & Investment, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mines & Geology, Labour & Employment and Skill Development

Additional Secretary to Chief Minister K Dhananjaya Reddy (IAS:2006:AP) has been allocated subjects namely; Water Resources, Environment, Forests, Science & Technology, Municipal Administration, Urban Development & CRDA, Agriculture & allied subjects, Health, Medical & Family Welfare Dept, Energy, Tourism, Culture, Youth Advancement & Sports, Marketing & Cooperation, Finance (Subject related to Expenditure).

IAS reshuffle in AP: 32 IAS officers reposted

In a midnight operation, the Andhra Pradesh government transferred  32 IAS officers and repositioned seven others. The orders were issued by the office of Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam.

 

The Friday midnight/Saturday morning orders saw the stripping of portfolios of three senior IAS officers including a Special Chief Secretary, who served in the previous Chief Minister's Office. These officers have not yet been given any postings though they were transferred out three weeks ago.

 

Two junior IAS officers of 2015 batch, V Vinod Kumar and Srikanth Varma, got elevated to the rank of Joint Collector and posted as Project Officers of Integrated Tribal Development Agencies at Parvathipuram and Seethampet respectively.

 

Budithi Rajsekhar (1992 batch) has been moved out yet again after the government issued fresh orders. He is made the Principal Secretary of School Education.

 

B Udayalaxmi (1993) has been posted as Principal Secretary, Labour and Employment.

 

Finance Secretary Muddada Ravichandra (1996) has been posted as Secretary, Social Welfare, while incumbent Mukesh Kumar Meena (1998) has been shifted to the Tribal Welfare Department.

 

Joint Collectors of eight districts have been replaced while three major cities got new Municipal Commissioners in the rejig.

 

K V N Chakradhara Babu (2011) has been posted as Joint Managing Director of Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited.

S Nagalakshmi (2012) will be the new Managing Director of AP Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited at Visakhapatnam, in a post that has been lying vacant.

 

A Mallikarjuna (2012) has been given the crucial post of CEO of Aarogya Sri, the flagship health insurance scheme of the government.

 

M Hari Narayanan (2011) has been brought in as Executive Director of AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, while V Prasanna Venkatesh (2012) has been posted as Commissioner of

 

Srijana Gummalla (2013) has been posted as Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.

 

Additional Director General of Police-rank IPS officer Madireddy Pratap (1991), who is currently Director General of Special Protection Force, has been transferred and posted as Vice-chairman and Managing Director of AP State Warehousing Corporation.

New responsibilities for 12 AP IAS officers

12 IAS officers were assigned new responsibilities in AP on Wednesday. Mukesh Kumar Meena, secretary tourism, culture, has been posted as the commissioner of excise and prohibition and managing director of Andhra Pradesh Beverages Corporation in addition to the full additional charge of secretary tourism.

 

Dr P Lakshminarasimham is posted as secretary of (handlooms and textiles) industries and commerce department. Srinivas Srinaresh is posted as secretary to (mines) industries and commerce department in addition to the full additional charge of mines and geology department.

B Sridhar is posted as secretary to animal husbandry, dairy development and fisheries department. M Rama Rao is posted as the collector and district magistrate of Srikakulam district. K Dhanunjaya Reddy is posted as chief executive officer of Andhra Pradesh  Tourism Authority and managing director of AP Tourism Development Corporation.

 

Md Imtiaz is posted as the collector of Krishna district. B Laxmikantam is posted as the joint executive officer of TTD, Tirupati. P Bhaskara is posted as the director of social welfare department.

 

Vijaya Krishnan is posted as deputy secretary of the general administration department. Kritika Shukla is posted as joint collector of Krishna district. Himanshu Shukla is posted as a joint collector of Guntur district.
