Mumbai (18.10.2024): Grapevine is abuzz that Shiv Sena-led by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde may field former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) chief Sameer Wankhede from Dharavi as its candidate in Assembly elections however the party has denied it. The ex-Mumbai zonal director of the NCB had led the team that arrested Aryan Khan the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan on drug-related charges in 2021. Reportedly Shiv Sena is mulling a ticket for Wankhede which will help it getting Hindu votes. Assembly elections in Maharashtra will be held on November 20.
