It is widely believed that after his
retirement in November this year, the outgoing Expenditure Secretary Girish
Chandra Murmu (IAS:1985:GJ) may be considered for the coveted job of Vigilance
Commissioner in CVC. Sharad Kumar (Retd IPS:1979:HY) was on June
11, 2019 announced as Interim CVC after K V Chowdary completed his term.
Presently, CVC and a VC posts are lying vacant as formal announcement of the
appointment of CVC is awaited. But the official website of CVC suggests that
two posts of VC are lying vacant at present.
