Since the tenure of outgoing Lok Sabha Secretary Mrs Snehlata
Srivastava (Retd IAS 1982:MP) is coinciding with the Parliament session which
is slated to run between November 18th- December 13, it remains to be seen
whether she would be given an extension since her tenure is completing on 4th
of December. She took over the office in the first week of December 2017. If sources are to be relied, her prospects of getting an
extension look dim for obvious reasons. Insiders also say that Late Finance
Minister Arun Jaitley had pushed her name for Secretary General post. Yet it is to be seen if she manages to get
extension or the NaMo Govt has someone 'Right', upright and bright as its choice as
her successor.
