Indianmandarins has learnt that the name of Anil Swaroop (IAS:1981:UP) is in the reckoning for the post of Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion. The post will fall vacant on February 29 when Secretary Amitabh Kant (IAS:1980:KL) demits office to take over as CEO of NITI Aayog.
Swarup has been serving as Coal Secretary since October 15, 2014.
