New Delhi (17.08.2023): Speculation is rife ever since this news broke about Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar giving up his Canadian citizenship whether the BJP is considering him to field in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Kumar is being considered for three seats -- Gurdaspur in Punjab, South Delhi and Mumbai where the actor currently resides. Gurdaspur has a thin chance for him as Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar may contest. By putting Kumar in the fray, the BJP hopes to appeal to millions of his fans across the country.
