Hyderabad (17.08.2023): The BJP has roped in several former bureaucrats, including two former united AP chief secretaries IYR Krishna Rao (Retd IAS: 1979: AP) and L V Subramanyam (Retd IAS: 1983: AP), along with retired IPS officers and former professors to provide it enough ammunition to target the pink party in a bid to sharpen its strategy against the BRS government ahead of polls.
Around 20 such prominent officials, most already in BJP, are working behind the scenes to study BRS schemes and projects. The objective is to provide the BJP state leadership with facts and figures to build a narrative on how BRS failed the people of Telangana in its two terms since statehood and needs to be shunted out.
Officials involved include former IPS officer T Krishna Prasad (Retd IPS: 1987: TG), former IAS officer R Chandravadan, former AP top cop SK Jayachandra (Retd IPS: 1978: TG) and advocate Nagendra who is the brother of Lok Satta founder Jayaprakash Narayana. Instead of focussing only on attacking the BRS as being corrupt, the party wants to reach out to public with figures on how much was spent by BRS against its actual promises in the past nine years.
