A message was given to Akhilesh by him when he left the Assembly after taking oath as MLA. A seat was made vacant beside Akhilesh but Azam did not oblige him. Rumors are abuzz that he may float a party or join hands with Shivpal Singh Yadav. An offer has been made to Akhilesh to send Kapil Sibel to Rajya Sabha which may help rapprochement.
