Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that A Anbarasu (IAS:1996:UT) is on the verge of facing disciplinary action as per the Revised Guidelines for Transfer/Posting of IAS/IPS Officers of Joint AGMUT Cadre 2016. Currently, he is serving as the Revenue Secretary to Govt of Delhi and holds the charge of Services as well.
Reportedly, the cadre controlling authority, MHA, has expressed its ire over the non-compliance of posting orders issued on 02 November 2017 wherein he was transferred from Govt of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) to Puducherry. The Revised Guidelines states that the officer will take up the charge within 15 days of posting as he/she would be deemed 'Stand Relieved'. In case of non-compliance, it would invite 'disciplinary action' under which the salary may be stopped or 'displeasure' could be issued or it might invite debarment from promotion or central deputation.
This is a well-known fact that none of the UT cadre officers except few wants to move to Puducherry or Arunachal Pradesh or Andaman & Nicobar, etc even though all of them are obliged to complete their stint of field posting in UTs.
Why, then, is Anbarasu not willing to take his new posting? His colleagues say that Anbarasu, who formerly acted as the PS to the then MoS for PMO E Narayansami, is scared of facing Ms. Kiran Bedi, Lt Governor of Puducherry.
